Turn Back The Clock

2018

Solo Developer

Museum of Science And Industry

Developed for the Museum of Science and Industry’s exhibit Turn Back The Clock, the digital doomsday clock was a physical installation where an iPad existed as a client for a host PC, allowing users to use the app to scroll through the entire history of the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists’ Doomsday Clock, leading up to 2017 (and later updated to 2019 when the exhibition was extended). When the year was changed, a PC hosting a server program and a local wireless network would seamlessly update, projecting information including the status of the Doomsday Clock in that year, world events, and pop culture trivia.

Interface designed by Dogstudio and coded as a solo developer, additionally developed 3 touchscreen video kiosks for the exhibition.
