Developed for the Chicago Architecture Center, The Disappointed Tourist is a gallery exhibit featuring the work of Ellen Harvey. The exhibit features her ongoing collection of paintings nominated by members of the public in response to the question: “Is there some place that you would like to visit or revisit that no longer exists?” Featuring hundreds of her pieces, interviews with the artist, and an interactive experience where visitors can hear the contributor’s stories behind their chosen place, the exhibit represents a testament to memories of spaces lost to time in Chicago and around the world.
UI designed internally, developed entirely by myself. Interactive features dozens of audio entries complimented by optional English and Spanish subtitles, as well as an interactive video kiosk.
