Beer Flight

Pitchfork Music Festival Goose Island Activation

Designer/Developer

Developed for Pitchfork, Beer Flight is a retro arcade game designed for the Goose Island booth at the 2016 Pitchfork Music Festival. The game challenges players to throw a serving tray through the festival grounds, hitting (and therefore serving), as many attendees with possible, before landing on a table. Points are given based on how many people are hit, and what size table is landed on.

The game features an 80s arcade aesthetic, as well as a variety of different effects and reactions that build up and play out based on how many attendees the player hits on a single throw. The game installation, managed and staffed by the Indie City Collective, featured Goose Island's bus, where players could gather around a large display to compete with their friends, or play inside on old CRT televisions.
